Where do I begin? How do I start seeing you for therapy?
The first step is to call me for a free 15-minute consultation, where we’ll determine if my skill set meets your needs and also to see if we’re a comfortable therapeutic fit.
If we decide to move forward, I’ll send you a link to my secure client portal, where you'll register and complete intake paperwork. At the scheduled time, you'll log into your client portal for our video session to begin. This first session is a comprehensive 75-90 minute assessment, focusing on understanding your current concerns, history, and goals for therapy. Subsequent sessions are 50 min sessions. Clients are required to keep a credit/debit card on file, which will be charged at the end of each session.
Do you offer in-person therapy?
At this time, I only provide online therapy (telehealth). This allows for greater flexibility and accessibility while maintaining high-quality care.
Who do you mean when you say "women"?
I provide therapy that honors the complexities of being a woman - whoever you are and however you identify. While my practice is primarily geared toward cisgender women, I'm committed to holding space for all women, including trans and non-binary individuals, with care, humility, and deep respect. I do not specialize in LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy, but if you resonate with how I work and feel like this is the right space for you, you're absolutely welcome here.
How do online sessions work?
Once your session is scheduled, you'll receive a confirmation email with the date, time, and a secure link to join. You'll also get an email reminder 24 hours before your appointment (and a text reminder, if you've opted in). On the day of your session, simply click the link - no need to log into the portal unless you want to complete forms or view documents. All sessions are private, secure, and HIPAA-compliant.
What is your cancellation policy?
I require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged $150 fee.
How often do I need therapy?
Therapy is typically once/week but varies, as treatment is individualized.
Do you take insurance?
No, I don’t accept insurance in my private practice. All sessions are private-pay only. This allows our work to remain flexible, personalized, and focused entirely on your needs—not shaped by diagnoses, session limits, or third-party rules. That said, I care deeply about making therapy accessible. Outside of my private practice, I also work within systems that support insurance-based care, allowing me to serve a broader range of clients, including those in under-resourced communities. If you have out-of-network benefits, I’m happy to provide a superbill for possible reimbursement. But because that’s never guaranteed, I encourage clients to view therapy as a personal investment—whether or not insurance contributes.
How will therapy be tailored to me? How do you decide which therapy tools or techniques to use?
I primarily use CBT to help you make sense of patterns and build effective coping strategies. But therapy isn't rigid - I also incorporate other modalities, like CPT for trauma or Motivational Interviewing to encourage change when motivation is low. If you're feeling stuck in anxiety or depression, we might first talk through what's getting in the way of change - what part of you wants to feel better and what part's not quite ready - then bring in tools like mindfulness to help calm your system, and CBT to shift the thoughts that are keeping you stuck. I meet you where you are.
I’m not sure if therapy is right for me. can we talk first?
Absolutely. I offer a free 15-minute consultation where we can discuss your needs, answer any questions, and see if we’re a good fit.
