faq

1. Do you offer in-person therapy and what areas do you serve?

All of my sessions are virtual, online - this allows me to work with women all across California. Many of my clients are based in cities like Los Angeles, San Diego, Palo Alto, San Francisco, and Santa Barbara—but no matter where you're located, if you're in California, we can work together.

2. What makes therapy with you worth the investment?

I hold an MSW from UCLA, I’m certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and specialize in working with women navigating anxiety, trauma, perfectionism, and self-worth. My private practice is grounded in evidence-based care—but what truly makes this work powerful is the connection I build with my clients.

This isn’t just technique—it’s a gift. I have a deep, intuitive ability to resonate with what’s beneath the surface, build real trust, and help women move from coping to healing. That blend of clinical training and emotional attunement is what allows therapy to go deeper—and lead to lasting change.

Many of my clients have worked with other therapists before—some who lacked experience, or didn’t share their values, or simply weren’t equipped to go deeper. In the long run, that trial-and-error approach can cost more, financially and emotionally. Working with someone who brings strong credentials, a clear specialty, and a deep ability to connect can be a more sound—and more effective—investment.

3. Do you work from a specific perspective or set of values?

Yes. My work is grounded in a progressive, woman-centered lens that honors lived experience, complexity, and autonomy. I also approach therapy through a culturally inclusive lens—aware of how identity, culture, and context shape the way women experience anxiety, self-worth, and pressure to perform.

Many of the women I work with have told me they chose to work with me because they could tell—right away—that our values aligned. They weren’t just looking for any therapist; they were looking for someone who really gets it.

If you’ve been looking for a space where you don’t have to explain the basics or hold back parts of yourself, this is likely a good fit.

4. Who do you work with when you say “women”?

I work with clients who identify as women—whether cisgender or not—who feel aligned with the work I do. While I don’t specialize in LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy, if my style of therapy resonates with you, you are absolutely welcome.

5. Do I need to understand feminist theory to work with you?

Nope. But if you value emotional depth, self-awareness, and a space where your lived experience as a woman is centered and respected, you’ll likely feel right at home here. A woman-centered lens is a core part of how I show up in this work—it shapes how I listen, what I notice, and how I help you reconnect with your inner strength. You don’t need the right words or background. You just need to be ready for real change, with a therapist who truly sees you.

6. How do I get started?

It begins with a free phone consultation. You can schedule that through my online portal or call me at 310-626-1663. During the consult, we’ll talk briefly about what you’re looking for, and I’ll answer any questions you have. If it feels like a good fit, we’ll schedule your first session, which would be a 90-minute intake.

To confirm your intake appointment, you’ll enter a credit or debit card when booking. Your card will stay on file, and sessions are charged by the end of the next business day. This also applies to no-shows and late cancellations. I’ll go over all of this in more detail during the consult, so you’ll know exactly what to expect

7. What can I expect from the first session—and how is it different from ongoing therapy?

All therapy begins with a 90-minute intake session, which is $250. This gives us time to go beyond the surface. I’ll ask questions to understand not just what’s happening now, but the broader context—your history, relationships, medical background, social environment, and the patterns that may have shaped your experience. It’s a collaborative process that helps me get a clear picture so we can create a treatment plan that’s aligned with your goals.

After that, ongoing sessions are 50 minutes and are $200. Most clients see me weekly, though depending on your needs and the intensity of what you're working through, we may meet more or less frequently. These sessions focus on integrating insight, practicing new skills, and building the kind of change that lasts.

8. What’s your cancellation policy?

Because I intentionally limit the number of clients I see in order to provide highly personalized care, your session time is reserved just for you. I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations or missed sessions are charged the full session fee, as I’m not able to offer that time to someone else on short notice.

That said, I understand that true emergencies happen. If something unexpected comes up, just reach out—we’ll talk it through.
